hollow forms

As the next level of the Abyss called woodturning, I've been making what are commonly called "hollow forms". Modern day tools allow even a relative neophyte like me to create art out of firewood.

Even more than the bowls I make, my hollow forms are intended to be more decorative than useful. It's just a fun way to show off the natural beauty of a piece of wood.

Click here to see a photo gallery of a few of the recent hollow forms I've made. I intend to update the pictures from time to time, so check back often. Much to my chagrin, the gallery displays best on Internet Explorer. The photo captions don't display completely with other browsers like Firefox.

Here's a photo gallery showing some of my earlier hollow forms.
